We were so happy when Shan was born, he completed our family but it was very short lived. Our family is totally shattered since we got to know Shan is fighting cancer.”

— Shan Parents

1.5 years old baby Shan is suffering from Orbital rhabdomyosarcoma (Eye Tumour) is a malignant neoplasm often seen initially by ophthalmologists, in which prompt diagnosis can save the life of the affected individual.

He is currently being treated at Oncology Dept, AIIMS ,New Delhi and her UHID number is 106552532.

Shan developed a small blister near the eye but nobody imagined it could be cancer.

It started as a small blister near the eye which Shan’s parents noticed three months back. They did not suspect anything serious but still consulted a doctor. This is when they got to know Shan is fighting against life threatening cancer. Life had been so normal up until that day. He was such a healthy, happy baby that no one could even imagine him fighting death.

Shan is dying but his parents cannot afford such expensive treatment.

When the doctor broke the news of cancer, his parents started panicking. They took little Shan to every good hospital their friends and relatives suggested. The diagnosis was still the same. Their baby is suffering from cancer (Orbital Rhabdomyosarcoma). They had no idea what it could mean, or whether it could be treated at all.

It has affected his left eye also and has reached the brain vessels. Chemotherapy has already started, but the doctors have also advised Proton therapy, a better alternative to Radiation.

“He has undergone 5 chemo sessions already and can’t take more. The lump has subsided but it can come back anytime. The doctors are saying that if he does not get the operation on time, it will be difficult for them to save him.I can’t arrange any more money. I borrowed from everyone I know..I don’t know what I should do to save him”

Your contribution can save him from a terrible fate. He is a brave boy and only needs a little hope and support to make it.
